我想這大概是他們開了很多次的會所決定出來


此計畫中無薪休假實施政策相比台灣的很多企業真是有人性到一個不行

Dear All,

First of all,  welcome to our new factory. Good to see most things are settling down
in place  as scheduled .

Under the impact of the global economics down turn, not just us, our customers
and customers'' customers like us are cutting back. We are inevitably becoming
inside the whirl. No one knows when the economic will revive. Only those who
can breath longer get the last chance to win in the end. I believe you are aware
of the situation and also understand the need we have to activate Salary Deduction
Plan for the coming year.

For your better  understanding, I like to explain the plan briefly.

This plan will start from Mar/01/2009 till Feb/28/2010 and it will be in 2 stages
and consists of 3 parts  . 1st stage is for Mar/Apr/May and the next stage will
be for Jun/Jul/Aug, As you know, we are in the first stage of the plan now by 
reducing one working day a week for Mar/April/May.  Enclosed is the execution rule
for it.   The next stage will be decided based on the operation of Mar/Apr/May . 
In general, the result of Mar/Apr/May and subsequent months will be in one of the
4 conditions below and each has its level of tension and execution to be followed. 
That is, each condition will have its degree of effect on the percentage of reduction
of salary  as categorized below :

1. Green light (Safe zone):  It is when company can break even. ===> no effect to
our salary for certain.

2. Blue light (Nervous zone):   It deficit when  Sales and deficit goes under the
amount that company can take. ===> no reduction of salary will take for our salary
though we are out of safe zone.

3. Yellow light (Dangerous zone):  It is when  Sales and deficit go down further so
much that  company can no longer take it all . ===> 5 - 15% of deduction on
salary must be executed.

4. Red light (Worst zone):  It is when the deficit go even worse than company's
worst predication. ===> 10 - 25% of deduction on salary will be forced to
executed.

For example, the sales revenue in Dec/08, Jan/Feb/2010 is actually in Dangerous
Zone, that's why 4 working days a week is first activated. If May/Jun/Jul stay in
Yellow light, we will be forced to suffer with reduced salary and remain 5 working
days a week.

(* Each team leader will undertake 5% - 10% more than their team members when
reduction of salary is executed .)

Above is part A of the plan. Part B of the plan is compensation guaranteed . If the
bottom line shown by Feb/28/2010 is that we eventually break even, every one's
reduced pay will be refunded 100%. Any one volunteers to come and still
work 5 days a week during Mar/Apr/May, it will be also  cherished and be refunded
with their salary before others when company is away from deficit. We will not
forget those who  are willing to devote their time and effort to make company strong.

The Part C and also the most meaningful part of the plan is the Extra
Bonus  5% - 10% of your monthly salary will be distributed in addition to
year end (2009/12/31) bonus once the company makes profit more
than NTD2,000,000 by 2010/02/28.

Let's review the light indication every 3 months and show on the bulletin board. The
implement of any salary deduction action is really subject to the conditions we are in
for the previous 3 months.  If we can be better and better, we will be free from the
execution of reducing salary for sure.

Detailed execution rules and specific figures and numbers for 2nd stage will be given
no later than end of May no matter we are to reduce salary or not .

So far we still have chance to get by and go back to Blue light if we work harder and
develop more products quicker. To revive the business is not only the duty of Sales
or R&D, every one is related and we must back up each other no matter which
department you are in though sales department must run first and faster and obtain
more orders.

Let me emphasize again. The purpose of executing Salary Deduction Plan is an
compulsory action for long term operation. It is bound to cause immediate
influence to our daily life but if we don't do it, the chance for us to break though
the hard time will get even smaller.

I like to remind that we shall also try our best to avoid unnecessary expenses and
save the resources as much as we can in the office. Such as shut downing
computers after work and cultivating the habit of turning off light or any other
electricity (printers/fan...etc.) when we don't need it. Save the paper printing as
much as can. Use the most of every equipment and maintain it in good condition.
Try to avoid long distance call or making cell phone calls. Be short on long distance
call or cell phone calls. Don't look down upon the saving. Any saving on the the
expenses will help ourselves in the long run.

You may well perceive that our  Big Boss Mr. Chang is willing to take the risk and
provide the new building for us to try and make more business. The new promotion
plan is in process and I will be reviewing with each department for the progress
very soon.

With determination to stick together , let's  do our very best and fight  the battle
ahead.
